Steps in making the Gitman Non-Iron Shirt:

• The finest all cotton 80's 2-ply pinpoint oxford available.
• The cloth is treated chemically to be totally non-iron.
• The cloth is cut and made into a shirt using special fusibles in armhole and placket seams that will not pucker when washed.
• The finished garment is placed under extreme heat in order to "bake" the wrinkle free characteristics into the shirt.

The result is a shirt that will not wrinkle during a day's wear, and looks perfectly fresh at the end of the day. It comes directly out of the dryer with the appearance of a freshly laundered shirt. Ours is available in exact neck and sleeve sizing for a perfect fit.

Pinpoint Oxford is a special fine Oxford weave developed in the 1960's in UK. It is a fabric that has grown to become the classic American dress shirts. This cloth has the three most important components of a mainstay in any shirt wardrobe: Durability, Absorbancy, and Luxurious Feel. The yarn is 80's 2 ply and the cloth is woven with a high warp construction that creates a "bead." When woven correctly in colors other than white, it creates soft and beautifully shaded cloth because of high impact mixture of white with bright fill yarns.
